“He sees the person before he sees the athlete.”

Brent Hall is an elite coach and an exceptional mental performance trainer who brings a rare combination of knowledge, creativity, innovation, and genuine care to his work. I’ve known Brent for 20 years, and what has always stood out to me is that he sees the person before he sees the athlete.

Anyone fortunate enough to work with Brent will quickly recognize the depth of his expertise in volleyball, mental performance, and nutrition, but what makes him truly special is the way he connects with athletes and invests in their growth. He cares deeply about helping athletes become better competitors, but even more importantly, better people.

Brent has a unique ability to challenge athletes, expand their thinking, and give them practical tools to perform at their highest level while making sure they feel seen, valued, and supported. His passion for athlete development is authentic, and his impact extends far beyond the volleyball court.

I would trust Brent with any athlete I care about, and I would recommend his services without hesitation.

“What meant the most to me was how much he cared about who I was outside of the gym.”

Brent has an incredible knowledge of volleyball and of what it takes to develop a high-performing athlete, but what meant the most to me was how much he cared about who I was outside of the gym. He helped me develop skills that extended far beyond volleyball - confidence, resilience, independence, and the ability to work through challenges - and always made me feel like he genuinely believed in me. I left the program feeling more prepared for both my next chapter and whatever challenges came with it.

“…always made me feel supported while challenging me to grow”

Brent introduced the idea to me that life never necessarily get easier, but you get better at doing hard things. That is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life, both on and off the court. He invested so much time, energy, and care into our team, and always made me feel supported while challenging me to grow as an athlete and as a person. He taught me the importance of preparation, resilience, and putting something bigger than yourself first. I’m incredibly grateful for the impact Brent has had on me, and I know the lessons he taught me will continue to help me long after my playing career.
